My mom grew up in Lex, so she was always dragging me around with her so I basically grew up in Lexington. When I got older, I cleaned businesses in these parts of town for my sister's cleaning business. I would be in these areas really late at night and by myself. Obviously I would be real careful and always watch my back, but nobody ever bothered me. I don't know if I would even consider these neighborhoods, hoods. Just poor people living in poor neighborhoods. I'd bet most these people are friendly as could be. I have also noticed over the years a lot of gentrification going on in these exact neighborhoods.

Even though I'm a woman, thank you for this video. I used to struggle with this kind of thinking and I still feel like I have to participate in these kinds of actions for some reason. Watching so much stuff had(and still has somewhat of an effect on me) given me a warped world view. My life is a bit rough right now, but I am glad that period of my life is over. Thank you.
