I want to vent about the YT people in “our community” being on this bullsht about hiding and withholding treatment for this. Stop giving them the B B C…seriously. This behavior of purposely keeping cures and treatments from us is racist, disheartening and typical. Like you pointed out, I’m old enough to remember how they not only did this with HIV, they helped perpetuate the mistreatment of black bisexual men and blaming us for giving the disease to black women and spreading it in the black community when it was a combination of other factors (including them hogging the treatments) that led to the spread. They see us and our bodies and they always come around because we not only have the tools but we provide great experiences. We need to be respected as having more than that. If they really value our B B C (a term I hate by the way), they’d help protect us. We need to have more value outside of the bedroom. Stop seeing them as the epitome of LGBTQ excellence. Stop fulfilling their fantasies of being their experience for a night. Stop taking their money, validating their “right” to be racist.
