The first half of the movie is really a sweet watch. Definitely Liam has deep issues, I think he had everything you need to be happy: money, a sweet and tender girl who he has even given a name of his choice: Kristen, not to mention that the real Kristen(Madeline Clark) was throwing herself at him -that it's just epic!. Liam just needed to give it a little bit of space to Owen to assimilate his identity as Kristen. Owen was not a crossdresser or transvestite, on first place, that process is slow and takes some time in the sense that Owen was willing to do anything in order to be fine with Liam. What else Liam could have asked? He had everything! For me, other than I don't have the Liam issues, is that would avoid to see Kristen as Owen as much as possible, would kill my desire but other than that, Kristen is a sweet heart: sweet cute, honest as only at that age you can be, she is devoted to the relationship with Liam. Just needed some air to breath and the deal is closed. Just some time before Kristen would find herself asking Liam to move into his flat.
