You might as well ask if soap operas are soft po rn. Because- for women- they often are. I knew a Vietnam vet, some years ago. He was playing with ladies in the projects, single moms all. He set his alarm clock she he could be on time for work. One day he got up late; called work, to tell them he'd be in late, dressed as fast as he could, and wondered why his alarm clock didn't work. His paramour of the day said, Oh, you were sleeping like a baby, I knew you needed more sleep, so I turned it off. She had no concept of work. She'd never had to work. The government paid her rent, food, bus pass, movie pass, etc. That guy told me that he could get about 3 months of playtime with those women, then they'd start demanding that he marry them, so he'd get out of polarity- you know, seem weak, and so on- the connection would break, and he'd find another one. This was in the 1980's. He came home from Vietnam, married his HS sweetheart. 3 weeks into the marriage, she got up and said she wasn't happy. 3 months later, she filed for divorce. My buddy's dad said to pay the woman half the equity in the house. He didn't have other assets. So he did. he was torn up. But healed, in time. She went on to marry another guy, have a kid, divorce him, marry a 3rd guy, have a kid, divorce him. By that time, she realized that No. 1 was the best of the lot. Her parents would invite him over for dinner, and he'd go- but he wouldn't have anything to do with her. Nope. He wasn't about to pay to raise somebody else's kids, and explained to me, that when you get a hunting dog, you want to pick your own dog, not get somebody else's dog. Interesting metaphor. He said her parents were great. And she... was a single mom, who couldn't find a guy. Because her model of how the world worked was... soap operas, romance movies, etc. I used to watch Se x and the City, it was hilarious. Because at that time, women didn't talk that way. It was very clear that they had trouble finding guys, though they all got married off at the end... somehow, pron for women I guess. Romance movies are pron for women. And that is just as unrealistic as pron for men is.
