I also feel like some trans people might be offended when rejected while being trans because of their own insecurity. Same questions, does this mean I'm less of a man? Does this mean I'm not masculine enough? Does this trigger my dysphoria and my own perception of myself and how I want to be perceived?

As a male of 60 years and a RN for over 30 years, I would NOT recommend talking to your parents. I would suggest an older brother, cousin, or friend. NOT a lot older but a few years. Talking to your parents might be way more anxiety producing than it's worth and that's not healthy.
