I had a hemorrhoidectomy, fissurectomy, and removal of an ulcer a few years ago. The recovery was Hell. I've always had issues with my pelvic floor muscles and sphincter always tightening since childhood. I'd be given enemas as a kid to help me poop cuz I'd clench up and not be able to go.

I understand your frustration with how the term down low affects you as an openly gay black man. However I feel your message is dangerous b/c it basically makes black women take lightly of the fact that we are at much higher risk to contract hiv/AIDS when our man is on the down-low. We have the highest rate of new cases every year in metropolitan cities since most black men in those cities end up going to jail and having relations with other men while there. I'm not denying that other races of men have this down-low behavior, however it presents more risk to black women when black men have secret lives.
