Having grown up at a house next to a forest I must say that I've hear my share of weird noises coming from there. As a kid I used to be absolutely freaked out by them, but later on I just grew accustomed to them and now I just don't pay much attention. A couple examples. There was an odd situation back when I was a teenager. I'd just learnt about skinwalkers, wendigos and all that supernatural stuff. Additionally, it's worth mentioning, that I used to go to bed pretty late (around 1-2 AM), since I had a ton of schoolwork to do during the day and used the night to chill. So one night I heard a loud pitch noise outside. It didn't sound like any animal living in my area, more like a human screaming. At that time though I wasn't really scared of that sh*t anymore, so I decided to check it out. While I was dressing up the sound could be heard a few more times, but I still couldn't really identify it. I also didn't want to wake up my parents over something so stupid, so I just took one of our dogs (more for company then protection - it's a York) and quietly went out of the house to see where the sound was coming from. As I walked down the stairs down from the porch the dog started freaking out, but I dismissed it as it just being excited to go on a walk. A few minutes later though a kind of creepy thing happened. I determined when the sound was coming from and as I walked near that place (around one of the entrances to the forest, ext to our neighbor's house) the sound just randomly stopped. After that I heard some rustling quite close in front of me, so I used a flashlight or a phone to look there. I saw a man standing there with their back to me. At this point I was already pretty scared, so I just decided to get the f*ck out of there. Now that I think about it, I probably shouldn't have been so scared, since that could've just been one of our neighbours, but at the same time it's weird that he was just standing there in the dark and didn't react when I used my flashlight in his direction. It's kind of weird and to this day I don't really know what happened that night. Needless to say though, I didn't get much sleep 😅
