I sent this to a poster, and decided to resend to anyone who might need relief. I've been dealing with this off and on for years. I noticed it goes away when I drink a LOT of water and change my diet. I love fried food and junk food, so this was hard for me, but it was worth it. Like someone else said, I only eat one full meal once a day now, and that meal contains a lot of fiber (beans, veggies). I also 2 drink smoothies: one with spinach and fruit, and the other with blueberries; each smoothie contains avocado, flax or chia seeds. I also eat my baked goods with oat flour instead of regular flour, and I use nut butters or applesauce instead of butter. (to make the oat flour, just grind oatmeal in a blender or food processor until it looks like flour). Anything that doesn't cause constipation. I noticed when I started eating less fiber and went back to eating unhealthy food for more than 3-4 days, it started again. I add a stool softener for those first few days after a flare up, then. I go back to the high fiber diet. I only allow myself one day every few weeks to treat myself. I don't like denying myself simple things like this, but it's worth it.
