To me, this video perfectly illustrates the weird, transitional times we live in. Obviously, some folks will always be dominant and others will be submissive but in our current society, the ratio is heavily skewed. There are maybe 30% of women who are even open-minded to being dominant in the bedroom and 10% who genuinely enjoy it. Out of these 10%, at least half will deny it to themselves. The reason for this behavior is of course socialization. That one girl said in the video said: It's weird because it's not the norm and in a nutshell, that's exactly the reason for this imbalance. Now, if we lived in the 1920s, this attitude wouldn't be very surprising. What makes the imbalance both weird and tragic is that we live in a period where everyone constantly talks about female empowerment. Pretty much every Millennial or Gen-Z woman claims to be a feminist and they all love talking about their feminist views. Moreover, many of them go around calling men sexists for ridiculous trifles, such as using non-pc language. You could easily come to the conclusion that young women are becoming increasingly radicalized and extremist in their feminist views. However, behind that loud and bombastic (sometimes obnoxious) veneer, the vast majority of women are still total traditionalists. Hypergamy is just one example for this. If women feel truly equal to men, why do so many of them still want to marry a provider-type who earns a great living and will protect them? Shouldn't they be able to find a good job themselves, perhaps even one that provides for their stay-at-home BF/husband? Shouldn't they be able to protect themselves. The fact that so many women don't see this is super reactionary in my opinion. To use an admittedly weird analogy (sorry, just came up with it): if feminism is a grill and women are steaks, then most of them are charred on the outside but inside they're still completely raw. Sexual dynamics is just another example where we can see this. I feel like men have adapted far better to the changing times in this particular regard. There are now many submissive guys who say: Yeah I'm a softie cutie subbie boy and I'm totally cool with it. Most women on the other hand cling on to the olden days for dear life. They judge men for being submissives, call them weird etc.. Obviously there are exceptions but this is the vast majority of women. I find this very unfortunate. I've got nothing against a confident, emancipated girl, I'm a submissive guy myself. I just wish there were more women willing to overcome these stupid social norms. I have great respect for the few women who love to be unapologetically dominant in the bedroom because I feel like they have spent a good amount of time thinking about what it really means to be emancipated. They're not babbling empty phrases but actually practicing what they preach. They are the (unfortunately very few) perfect steaks that are juicy and cooked on point.
