If the Aging and Disability Services Division, Adult Protective Service worker believes that a crime has been committed against a vulnerable adult, a referral is made to the appropriate law enforcement agency for possible investigation and prosecution. The General Relief/Temporary Assisted Living Home Care program daily rate is changing from $70/day to $104.

I was very depressed for a while, tried to date other guys, but it really didn’t work out. One night I was out with a friend and a new face was at the club. He was tall, blonde, wore frameless eyeglasses, had stubbly facial hair and looked like a model. After a while he waved to me and smiled. We struck up a conversation, he was very charming. He was in his 30’s and had just moved from Maryland. He was staying with his folks until he found a job. He asked me out, I accepted. The first date went well. He made me laugh. I still couldn’t get over how handsome he was. I was having a good time. We went out a few more times. He was always a gentleman and walked me to my door, he was a good kisser too. The 4th date he said he needed to talk to me about something since he assumed we’d continue to go out. He was aware of my first boyfriends death. He confessed to me he had AIDS. I was shocked at what he told me. I still wanted to see him. Several weeks later he found a good job he thought would be a nice fit for him. He said he’d like to find a house close to where I lived. I was excited. 2 weeks later he called sounding serious. He said considering what I’d gone through and his condition wouldn’t reverse, he thought it would be best if we didn’t see each other any more. He didn’t want to hurt me since I lost my first boyfriend only a few years ago.
