After reading about this theory of possible permanence of neurological arousal patterns, prior to quitting porn, I decided I would try to stop feeling bad or ashamed of my fetishes and work on self acceptance in regards to the things that turn me on, but the results never lasted and I eventually end up once again wishing I didn't have to accept them. That's when I started looking further into porn addiction and quitting porn, and came across your helpful content. I still plan to cut porn out of my life and find a partner to have healthy sexual relationship with, but I'm still unsure whether I should continue down the sexual self acceptance path, or work to get rid of my sexual fantasies all together.
