This is some of the most distasteful propaganda I have ever had the misfortune of viewing. While I understand their concerns (as misplaced as they are) this video is completely bias and only expresses the xenophobic opinion that anime and manga are tools for sexual abuse. I'm sure everyone reading my comment knows that anime and manga are no more of a medium for sexual abuse then western novels such as 50 Shades of Grey or Stephen King's It are. What I find pretty sad is that CNN didn't even directly attack lolicon and shotacon but the medium of manga and anime as a whole and then to go and have an interview with Lighthouse's founder and try to close the segment with her explaining that someone had tried to use animation to convince a minor that sex acts were normal without allowing her to at least comment whether she thinks that it would or would not of mattered if the person in question had used live actual pornography to persuade the minor into doing what he wanted is just blasphemy. CNN knows nothing of the cultural impact of Japanese animation and comics and doesn't care enough about the issue of sexual abuse to actually have a report that isn't filled with fallacies of the lowest caliber of prejudice. here are some of my questions for CNN : Are you aware of the sexual content in Western Cartoons that are SOLELY aimed at kids such as The Amazing World of Gumball episode where Gumball cross-dresses as a cheerleader and it shows him in a thong? Do you expect perverts to die out without an outlet to feed despite the well believed scientific theory that sexual repression leads to acting out the innermost sexual deviancy? I like the amazing world of Gumball and I while I do think that episode shouldn't be aired again I am NOT going out trying to get the series banned or the creators fired...do you know why? BECAUSE IT'S A FUCKING CARTOON! I can tell the difference between art and life and I can enjoy both for what they are and as they are. xenophobia is as much of a problem as racism when it comes to news channels like CNN and frankly I expected better.
