My late grandpa was molesting me for years .It all started when I was a young toddler and he was doing so with my aunts when they were young too . Years after his death . I was able to open up about my molestation. That was around the time my aunt had a confession too . This made our relationship even stronger today . I hate that we had to suffer that horrible abuse all those years in silence . But I know one day . My grandpa will have to answer to God . Deep down in my heart listening to Mackenzie . There are somethings she had said in a interview that made me feel strongly that she really was a true victim . I really felt that when I caught her answer and I could personally comprehend . It’s sad that Michelle doesn’t want to believe her .But there are some family members out there that don’t know how to handle something like that . It’s an embarrassment to them .So the victims keep in silence , so they won’t be called a liar . Maybe Michelle feels that she had failed as a step mother. Who knows ? Thankfully , John didn’t turn his sexual abuse to the other two daughters. Because normally child molesters don’t stop with one victim ..Molestation is still an “open secret” even today .But we do need these open talks and talk to our kids about the dangers of others touching them. . If I had someone to tell me that it wasn’t right what my papa was doing back in the 1970’s . I would’ve asked for help ,maybe from a elementary teacher . But I can’t blame myself. It’s a family secret that I’m finally able to lay to rest . I’m now allowing myself to heal at 49 years old .
