Ohioian here, born and bred… Cleveland Heights to be exact . Went to Fairfax, Roxboro Jr. High, Beaumont for a year, then transferred to Heights. I admit, now that I’m an adult, I would rather live somewhere else than Ohio… tired of the winters, but home is home. Ohio and Cleveland… no matter the bad rap, will always be home. I can imagine what this lovely, brave lady is going through. 12 years ago, my husband, literally picked me up over his head, and physically threw me out of our home in Cape Town, then drove me to the airport - shouting abuse all the way, especially in front of the African man who helped with my luggage - and put me on the next flight to London and on to Ireland, my home. 2 years later, he tried to get me back, saying that he'd looked around and couldn't find anyone better!! He went between tearing me to pieces, to love bombing me, in an instant. He came all the way to Ireland, twice, trying everything to get me back, including saying that he would move to France with our dog, to be near me, and would fly me there whenever I wanted, to see our dog. Crazy stuff! Both times, he was ignorant to hotel staff, and I knew he would treat me like that within 2 weeks, if I returned to him. It was, and still is, extremely confusing as I still love him, and always will. But, now I have a life, a new home, and though he said that I would never survive on my own, I am not only surviving, but thriving. When he realised that I wasn't going back, 10 years ago, he emailed me telling me that he was going to send private, intimate videos of me, to my sister and brother, if I didn't respond. When I didn't, he threatened to set up a website and load them up there, for the world to see. I went through several days of hell, imagining what it would do, as I come from a tiny village and community. I actually pictured and felt what would have happened. Then, I replied Do what the f*** you want!!, he never sent or posted them. I realised afterwards, the reason he didn't, was because it would have reflected very badly on him. Also, he wanted to keep this threat over my head. I cut complete contact. He emailed me last Christmas day, which caused me a major panic attack, I never replied. These are sick, sick people. Thank God my ex didn't carry it out, but, he could at any time. My prayers are with this woman and all others who suffer at their hands.
