in my experience, hardcore was predominantly a white lower middle class to white lower class scene. it was a place where we (aforementioned socioeconoic class) could get together and listen to some music that spoke to us and our issues, and scream, and mosh without judgement. profiling, addiction, all the socioeconomic divisions that we deal with that are relatable to other groups, we could lash out one, and express ourselves in these walls. there is a feeling that goes along with being part of a community that is pushed down, and aside. I say that, because, as ive grown older I have realized that everyone in that socioeconomic class, or that has come from it, has a lot in common...a band like this makes you remember and realize that theres so much more going on...to see other peoples struggles, and understand that we are all the same. I cant understand what its like to be you...but i can stand with you and respect your struggle fully, if you can do the same for me. i absolutely adore this band for bringing all of this to the forefront. speak loud, and as one....if we yell loud enough.........they will and have to hear us.
